![]() John and T. Lea Purcell welcome you to SHOW ME ROMANCE located in the Heart of America, Kansas City, Missouri. This site's dedicated to the one I love, and to each of you who visit. My wife Lea is the one I love, and I've built this site to hallow her and to help you. We are a May-December romance that blossomed into a marriage that flourishes in the warmth of our love. Both of us are mature enough to appreciate what it is that makes life worth living. We understand nothing is more important than finding the kind of exhilarating love we enjoy. That's why I created Show Me Romance. To give you the means to the end, romance and maybe more. To let you tell the broadest possible universe of people how you are unique. Don't hide the light that's you. Let it shine through Show Me Romance. Partner with Show Me Romance in your search for the person who is right for you, and I'll be with you every step of the way. You're not alone. Lea and I met in May of '97 at The International Trade Center in Overland Park, KS. I went to the Women's Weekend there - No - Not to find a woman… Well, maybe.
Me at the Gilcrease in Tulsa.
I'm a writer, known to many as The Paper Tiger, and I was attending the conference to learn more about electronic publishing. T. Lea is the founder and creator of Hard Shell Word Factory, and I was going to be introduced to her for an interview so I could write my article about E-Books. I didn't realize it at first - maybe I was blinded by love - but Lea is challenged. She first became ill in 1996 while attending the ABA BookExpo Convention in Chicago. She made it back to Kansas City with the help of a friend, but on July 1st she couldn't report to work - after 16 years of perfect attendance! She worked for a communications corporation after having retired from teaching high school. Lea also had to dissolve her mini corporation, literary agency and sell HSWF because of her sudden disability. As I told you, we met in May of 97 - I proposed in September - and we married on December 10, 1997. selling and buying manuscripts. Even though she's disabled, my wife proves romance exists in every precious moment of each new day. It can for you too! That's why Show Me Romance is here for you. I decided to create Show Me Romance after writing an article in February of '98 for EXPLORE Kansas City titled Kansas City's Love Connections. I wrote about a lot of great places in Kansas City to find romance, but none of these reached WorldWide. Show Me Romance is your Central Connection, and with listings from over 100 countries in five different languages, discrete is our byword and that's the way things are done at Show Me Romance - with discretion. |
